Paperboy J “Self-Driven” (interview)

Where are you from and how you started into music professionally.
I’m from the east of Fort Worth, Texas, from a hood known as “Eastwood”. I started taking music really serious after I did 5 years in prison for organized crime. It was hard for my mom, she had two jobs and four boys and I also had on the good side of things. I got to travel the world because my pops was in the army, so I’ve always loved different types of music, rock, pop, etc. helps me about with different people.

Give us more info on your latest releases.
My latest releases is “Self-Driven” and it’s well worth the wait. I’m dropping “Self-Driven” in May hosted by 97.9 the Beat’s J. Kruz.

Tell us more about the Paperboy movement.
Paperboy Ent. is a label that has a few of my artist, Ant Jones, YPC, Young Trell, Young Rumie, D Stan, La Prada TYP. And we’re doing show all over the U.S., like Washington, Florida and more!

For anyone who isn’t familiar with your music, what can fans expect to hear from you?
My fans can expect to more good hood, real struggle, fly-type “blow your check” at that club shit.

What are the future plans for PaperBoy J?
My plans for this label is to be know all over the nation and to be a house hold name to all old and young, Paperboy J said it!!!
